Tall Pines became my neighbor in 2010. I decided to visit and check this Assisted Living facility out. I was impressed the very first time I walked inside. It had a "family atmosphere" and I fell in love with the residents.
I began to visit more and more and became a volunteer, and wanted to help in any way that I could. This was really a home away from home for me and all the residents feel at home. As I began to meet family members, I knew they were pleased that their loved ones were well taken care of. Being a volunteer here and helping, has given me so much pleasure. I am grateful that I can be a volunteer. Last December, Tall Pines honored me for volunteering over 2000 hours! Melba Day | |
Our mother moved into Tall Pines in October, 2010 and is one of the earlier residents. Tall Pines fits the bill as it is an extension of our home and a feeling of family. Activities are planned to encourage family interactions between all residents and their families, which helps to promote socialization and makes everyone feel a part of the Tall Pines Family.
Safety and security is also a top priority. The staff and owners make residents aware of safety issues and the residents practice activities to keep them safe. Mother enjoys weekly games of 42, bingo, and musical entertainment, that come in from the community. Her spiritual needs are also met by the various ministries that visit on a regular basis. Mother likes her room, as she is an avid bird watcher and enjoys her birdbath and feeder outside her window. She is entertained by her birds, games, email, and facebook on her iPad. She will be 94 in August. We consider Tall Pines to be our Mother's home, as does she. We appreciate the loving care and concern she receives from the staff and owners. Sincerely, The family of Ms. Louise |
